Yoga & Meditation

Yoga became a key part of my life in 2011 when I was a college student struggling with stress and depression. In yoga I found a refuge, a place of inner peace and inner power; I found space in which to heal from the inside out. As an instructor, I hope to offer just that—a fun and fierce sort of healing, an opportunity to unearth the strength, self-love, and serenity that lies within. My teaching focuses on safe alignment and stretching with strength. In the words of one of my teachers, Darren Rhodes, I practice and offer yoga so that myself and my students can “shape-shift to state-shift.”

In May 2015, I became a certified yoga instructor (200 RYT) and Yogahour® teacher. I am looking forward to teaching more classes here in Tucson and becoming more deeply connected to the city’s thriving yoga community. My love of yoga started here, and here it continues to grow. Tucson is also the place where I discovered Hearth Rhythm Meditation in 2013. Now, I occasionally take the seat of the teacher in downtown Tucson where a small group of devotees gather weekly to breathe deeply and listen to our hearts.
